Summary
The MIDOT home page lists the MMEBA tools. The active transportation page lists its own tools. Each tool is a card. Available tools link to the tool. Tools that are not ready show "Coming soon". The pages keep the structure of the legacy screens and use Michigan Digital Guidelines components.
User problem and evidence
The MIDOT home page was a component preview. It did not lead to any tool. Signed-in users had to know the property value tool address. The legacy screens group the tools as MMEBA tools and active transportation tools.
Goals and success measures
| Goal | Measure | Target or review method |
|---|---|---|
| Users reach each available tool | Browser tests of each card link | Every available card opens its tool |
| Users can tell which tools are not ready | Browser tests and review | Disabled cards are not links and say why |
| The pages are accessible | Automated WCAG 2.1 A and AA | No violations, including at 320 pixels |
Non-goals
- The Aviation, Transit, Events Contribution, and Supply Chain tools.
- Access decisions for each tool. Every signed-in Michigan user sees the same cards.
- The teal and gold legacy visual style.

Implementation
The tool directory component renders both pages from a list of tools. The home route and the active transportation route own their lists. The component preview page is removed.
Experience and content
Each page uses the standard MIDOT page with the Michigan header and footer. Cards sit in a grid of four columns, two on medium screens, and one at 320 CSS pixels. Each card shows a Michigan icon in a circle, the tool name as a heading, and a short description.
| Tool | Icon | Description |
|---|---|---|
| TREDIS | chart-line | Economic forecasts and analysis in TREDIS. |
| Aviation | plane | Aviation economic tools. |
| Transit | bus | Transit economic tools. |
| Active transportation | bicycle | Property value, event, and supply chain tools. |
| Back to MMEBA tools | arrow-left | Return to the list of MMEBA tools. |
| Events contribution | events | Economic contribution of events. |
| Supply chain | delivery-truck | Supply chain effects. |
| Property value | building | Property value changes near projects. |
